WEEK 6 - Additional materials
 

Last week finished with a quick look at solution or strengths based approaches. These work especially well with difficult and hard to reach students as well as providing a creative and interesting strategy for teachers in a variety of settings and situations.

Solution focussed intervention is known by many names including Brief therapy and Narrative therapy.

Beginning the book by Michael Durrant - Creative solutions for school problems, this story provides an interesting insight in the rationale behind the solution focussed approach. (click to enlarge)

 

Then we look at the way digital technology tools can be used to engage students and the huge implications this has on both what we teach and the way we interact with student.
