WEEK 4 - Additional materials
|
| Two very different approaches provide the focus for this weeks lecture. Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) looks at environmental factors that modify behaviour and suggest that if these can be identified and changed than a resulting improvement in behaviour can be created. |

ABA & Gamification |
Alternatively Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) looks at modifying the mistaken beliefs and unhelpful thinking that lead to inappropriate behaviour. When individuals modify their 'self talk', their actions and behaviour reflect this change, resulting in different outcomes.
After attending the lecture and/or viewing the PowerPoint presentation the resources below provide some practical additions to your behaviour management toolkit.
